In   1989, graduated from Central China Normal University;

In   1994, received MS from Wuhan University;

In   1999, received Ph.D. from Nanjing Agricultural University;

1994-1997,   joined the Department of Agronomy, Guangxi Agricultural University, and   served as Assistant, Lecturer;

In   1997, he joined the Department of Agronomy, Guangxi University, and served as   Lecturer, Associate professor and Professor

Crop   Growth and Development; Stress Physiology; Chinese Medicinal Materials   Cultivation and Breeding.

RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT

HE lab's research mainly focuses on the mechanisms of aluminum   toxicity and tolerance in peanut, growth and development of tuber and storage   root in Chinese medicinal materials. We discovered that programmed cell death   is one of the mechanisms of aluminum toxicity and tolerance, and a miRNA   and transcription factors involved mitochondria dependent pathway of caspase   like PCD with hydrogen peroxide and nitric oxide as signals. We discovered   and analyzed the regulatory role and mechanism of DELLA protein in yam tuber   growth.
